In this work, a black field is broken by what look like islands of bronze and copper, each running in a thin line toward the floor. It reads as the inside of a clay forno in the instant the wood collapses into ember. The bronze is sap turned mineral.
A black field broken by what look like islands of bronze and copper, each running in a thin line toward the floor. Curvelo sits at the historical heart of the Minas carvoaria, the eixo that connects the cerrado mata to the siderurgia of the Vale do Aço. The field reads as the inside of a forno de barro at the moment the wood collapses into ember. The bronze is the sap turned mineral. The drips do not explain themselves.
