In this work, metallic planes of brass and bronze establish a balance between order and transformation. The surface evolves from the interaction between natural materials, resulting in a composition where light, texture and depth change with the viewer's point of observation.
The opening panel of Brasa. Three weights of matter laid flat, like a forno seen in cross-section: the black ash above, the live ember between, the warm weight of brass and bronze below. Carbonita is a municipality of the Vale do Jequitinhonha named for the carvoaria that built it, coal-named, mineral-grown. The work establishes the scale and the register of the series: monumental, horizontal, breathing.
